Manon Iwasiw

Manon received her Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in 2020,  majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Indigenous Studies. Before heading to law school, Manon spent a little over a year working in her hometown of Kenora, Ontario as a Mental Health Court Support worker at the Canadian Mental Health Association. In this role, she gained experience working with individuals with mental illnesses in the criminal justice system and facilitated the local RISK table.

Manon attended the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 2024. During her time in law school, Manon was a caseworker at the Lakehead University Community Legal Services where she held carriage of Landlord and Tenant Board, criminal, and quasi-criminal files. Manon was also a teaching assistant for the Civil Practice course. Manon was subsequently called to the Bar of Ontario on October 28th, 2024.

Manon’s practice will focus on criminal defence and matters before the Ontario Review Board.

In her spare time, Manon focuses on her creative hobbies, which include making pottery and watercolour painting, and enjoying the outdoors with friends by hiking, skiing, and camping.
